Gran Canaria Pro-Am to kick off Tuesday 3rd December

The Gran Canaria Pro-Am is upon us and set to kick off as early as tomorrow morning, Tuesday 3rd December
As Europe starts to get cold, it is a balmy 26 degrees celsius / 78 degrees fahrenheit, and the scene is set for the final event of the 2024 season, the Gran Canaria Pro-Am, where World Champions will be crowned for Performance SUP Surfing for Men, Women and U21 Boys and Girls, together with Longboard SUP Surfing for both Men and Women.
Now in its 5th year, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has played host to the World Championship Tour Final since 2018 (break during Covid), and it has never failed to deliver pumping surf and dramatic showdowns to decide the World Titles for SUP Surfing each year.
As we look ahead to what we have in store for this week in Gran Canaria, it looks like we will start right out of the gates with the performance SUP Surfing divisions for both Men and Women at the epic right hand point break of EL Lloret. While it won't' be the XL surf we have experienced in some of the previous years, the coming days promise to deliver some extremely high performance surfing at this world class wave, as the World's Best will step up to do battle from all over Europe, North and South America and Asia.
We will be broadcasting LIVE from the event at www.appworldtour.com, on the APP's youtube and facebook channels @appworldtour, together with simulcasts across many of our prestigious global media partners for the event.
The event will then move back to La Cicer for the highly anticipated Longboard SUP Surfing and U21 divisions for both Men and Women and be complimented by a complete schedule of activity and entertainment on land, from demos in the APP pool, to movie screenings, music and much more.
